Meet Raymond Moody

Best-Selling author of eleven books including Life After Life—which has sold over 13 million copies world wide—and Reunions, as well as numerous articles in academic and professional literature. Dr. Moody continues to capture enormous public interest and generate controversy with his ground-breaking work on the near-death experience and what happens when we die.

Dr. Moody received the World Humanitarian Award in Denmark in 1988. He was also honored with a bronze medal in the Human Relations category at the New York Film Festival for the movie version of Life After Life

He is the leading authority on the ‘near-death experience’—a phrase he coined in the late seventies. Dr. Moody’s research into the phenomenon of near-death experience had its start in the 1960′s. The New York Times calls him “the father of the near-death experience.”

In the 25th anniversary of the classic bestseller Life After Life, Dr. Raymond A. Moody, Jr., M.D. investigates more than a hundred case studies of people who experienced “clinical death” and were subsequently revived.

With the preface by Melvin Morse, M.D., and forward by Elisabeth Kubler-Ross, M.D., I knew I had to speak with Dr. Moody not only about the many near-death stories of which he writes, but also of his own near-death experience and resultant understanding of the many mysteries to our existence. It is his continuing quest for answers to some of life’s biggest questions that he and I discuss in Pieces of the Puzzle. I hope you will enjoy our conversation, but until then, you may wish to visit the online presence and books by Raymond Moody, M.D.
