The Great Blue Heron

Protect the Heron!

The Southwest is home to several varieties of herons that include the Great Blue Heron, Louisiana Heron, Little Blue Heron, Great White Heron, Little Green Heron, Wurdemann’s Heron, and the Night Herons. These beautiful water birds are truly delightful to observe, photograph, and yes, even paint. I have painted them with fabric paint, wall/mural paints, and watercolors. While the largest of North American herons, the Great Blue Heron is typically, found along the shores and in wetland areas of North and Central America.

Inspired to help save endangered species worldwide and bring about an even greater awareness of our vital connections to all wildlife, I am humbled to have this platform to share some of my artwork and plea for wildlife support.

Hand sketched and finger painted (no brushes) with Polymark fabric paints years ago during a long period of depression, this painting and numerous others are but simple reminders now of our interconnectedness not only to each other, but also to all the animals that so depend upon our living in harmony together. Please help to protect our wildlife by considering the following:
