Friends and strangers alike began sharing their greatest wishes and deepest desires, not only for self, but for the whole of humanity and our world. Spiritual seekers, teachers, and gifted spirits all that they are held valuable pieces of the puzzle to our existence. Each with their own story of awakening wanted to tell the world, if only one person at a time of what they too had discovered. Each evolving in a greater awareness of self and life. Each inspired to be more than they once were. For each had experienced or come into some greater knowing that we are more than flesh and bone alone, that we are all spiritual beings experiencing a human existence. How wonderful is that, to come into a greater understanding of whom and what we really are. It was a blessing to be among them all. It was an evening of unconditional love and spoken truths. It was an evening of giving and receiving. It was an evening of listening and speaking, heart-to-heart with both friends and strangers alike.

I had entered the sacred circle of amazing women. Women young and old, single and married, working and retired, and at all levels of awakening. I was happy to see the nervous excitement of those just beginning the journey and privileged to sit among those still continuing the adventure of a lifetime. For we never truly complete our spiritual growth in this life, we have but only the chance to take another step in the evolution of our soul. We have the chance to learn and grow, to change ourselves for the better, to help others along the way, but more importantly, to become even closer to the One of all. We have the chance to transcend self and be who it is that we are meant to be – amazing spiritual beings.

As the hours passed, I began to realize why I had come this particular night, a night with no one guest speaker, no particular project or activity, and no specific agenda other than to simply meet and make a connection with other spiritually like-minded women. Women of various ages, walks of life, and backgrounds, socially, politically, economically, and even religiously, but all amazing in their own way. For each had something important to share – their truth. Each had something important to receive – their message. Each had something important to discover – their true self. We had all come to remember who and what we really are – truly amazing! We had all come to remember our value and worth and our inherent gifts and creativity or innate abilities to be more than flesh and bone. We had all come together to simply remind the other that no matter our age or background, it is the spirit of us or our true self that must walk this earth. That our ego or human persona need only listen to the inner voice of wisdom and love. Continue to make a caring connection with self, others, and the One of all. It was a pleasure to have entered the sacred circle of such amazing women, friends and strangers alike who simply left me uplifted for the rest of my night.
