Disturbance in the Force

I felt a great disturbance in the force. It’s as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. I fear something terrible has happened.

A disturbance in the Force is thought to be an “unusual fluctuation or anomaly in the Force that could be sensed by Force-sensitive’s. These disturbances could range in intensity from mild fluctuations to full-blown psychic trauma that would cause the individual to experience literal, physical pain and perhaps even mental shock.”

We’ve all had moments in our life when we felt as if “something terrible has happened.” Moments when we just knew that a great many were in pain or perhaps worse. Moments when all seemed hopeless or fearful, but also moments of calm or great peace. Yes, there have been moments when we feared the worse and moments when we felt we could rejoice! It seems the force is always in motion, ever moving about, around, and through everyone and everything. At times, it allows us to actually sense or feel when another is in either pain or joy and it is this knowing that reminds us of our vital connections – to our higher self, to others, and to a greater power and presence or force.

It is our connection to a greater power and presence that reminds us of who we really are and why we are here, if not something of whence we came. A force so powerful that it connects both friends and strangers alike, linking each – physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. A force ever present that when another is need, we know. A force so powerful that when another is in pain or joy, we know. Yet, what we do with that knowing is up to us. Do we cry for them or come to their aid? Do we simply look away or help and rejoice with them?

Whenever another cries out in terror, will we be there for them? Whenever we fear something terrible has happened, will we be who we are truly meant to be? Will we remember who we really are and why we are here, if not something of whence we came? Will we remember our vital connections – to our higher self, to others, and to a greater power and presence or force? Will we call upon a force that is always in motion, ever moving about, around, and through everyone and everything? Will we use it to connect with others in both times of pain and joy? Will we help each to feel moments of calm or great peace? Moments when each can rejoice in simply knowing that they are never truly alone, for there is a great force that connect us all. We need only sense or feel it within us. Allow it to link us in right and meaningful ways. Only then will we come to feel a great calmness or peace within both our world and us. Only then will we come to rejoice like never before. Only then will we come to know of our vital connections – to our higher self, to others, and to a greater power and presence or force.
